Settlement Challenges and Opportunities for Senior Citizens of South Asian Region
I am pleased to inform you that SACLG in in association with Nepali Senior Citizen club and Indian Senior Citizen Association is organizing a workshop on “ Settlement Challenges and Opportunities for Senior Citizens of South Asian Region” on November 21st,2015 at 2015 in Newbury Child and Community center, 440 grand Boulevard Craigeburn 12pm.
The migration of Senior Citizens from this regions has increased in last decade and studies have shown that they are experiencing lot of challenges during their settlement despite family and government supports. Victoria is a multicultural capital of Australia and the role of senior citizen is of paramount significance to help build community harmony and multiculturalism. The aim of this workshop is an attempt to provide an opportunity to participants to share their experiences with community’s representatives and experts in this field and help address some of these issues and recognize their contributions.
